Our partnership with Project Beauty Share

In the last few years we’ve undertaken partnerships with organizations like Surfrider Foundation and Terracycle, who have been helping us innovate with packaging, while working towards a cleaner planet. Our latest partnership however, focuses on the people living within our planet: those who don’t have access to enough personal hygiene products, including skincare.

The shift towards at-home selfcare.

2020 has, perhaps unsurprisingly, seen a shift towards self care like never before. With bars, restaurants and many recreational activities alternating between periods of open and close, drawing a bath and relaxing with an indulgent mask can make staying in more bearable. But, what if you don’t have access to the most basic personal hygiene, nevermind more indulgent options?

And, the Disparity in Distribution.

And, that’s where Project Beauty Share®comes in. They provide personal hygiene items to those who can’t afford, or don’t have access to them, specifically distributing them to NGOs who serve women overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness and poverty.

Who is Project Beauty Share?

Julie Farley, Founder of Project Beauty Share and with more than 30 years industry experience, has seen the impact that makeup, beauty and hygiene products have on women’s self-esteem. “Women who are poverty-stricken or women-in-transition cannot afford these luxury items,” Julie says. “A lot of what we do is about health and hygiene, but it’s really about dignity. Project Beauty Share wants to help women regain their dignity and get back on their feet.”

At REN Clean Skincare couldn’t agree more. Not only are we a purpose-driven brand and strive to make positive change, but sensory and aromatherapeutic properties of many of our products are known to help uplift or relax the mind, which is often what we need in uncertain times, when there aren't many other distractions

How you can make a change.

At the beginning of our campaign: The Big Clean Up, you can choose two free full-size gifts (worth up to $128) for every $75+ purchase. You have the option to donate one or both of these gifts to Project Beauty Share. These products will then be distributed to local shelters, homes, and organizations, to allow them to reach the most women who need help. And, there are other ways you can help Project Beauty Share, too.

Make a direct donation.

Project Beauty Share has made it easy to make a donation directly. Simply put in the amount you want to give, if you’d like to donate as a one-off or give monthly, then choose whether you’d like it to go to those in greatest need, or as part of their Holiday Gift Bag programme. This programme fills 2,000 gift bags with brand-new products that NGOs then deliver to those in need over the holiday period. And, for many women in these situations, it may be the only gift they get this year.

Volunteer or host an event.

Feeling a little more hands on? You can either volunteer at an event hosted by Project Beauty Share (like their recent, uber-successful Evening En Blanc) or host your own product drive or fundraiser. If you’re thinking about getting involved, you can contact them directly at (509) 455-3537 or visit their site for the many ways you can make a positive difference to women in need across the US, helping contribute to their ongoing, and improving, success in life.
